Timex

timex
Timex was founded 1854 in Waterbury, Connecticut, as Waterbury Clock Company. The companys products quickly became an alternative to the far more expensive European watches. During World War I artillery gunners needed an easy way to calculate and read time while still being able to work the guns. To meet this demand the company developed the first wrist watch. In 1944 Waterbury Clock Company changed their name to Timex.
